After a long night of celebration at the Terminal or the Pinewood in 1999, you could enjoy the Short Stop diner.  You might get thrown out.  You might make it back up the East Hill stairway.  You might get in trouble and get “noise patrol” punishment by Dean Perillo.

At Manhattan college in the ’90s, “noise patrol” was a form of punishment in which the college made you wear a vest of shame, stand outside of the East Hill dorm, and attempt to tell drunk students at 4am outside to keep the noise down.

This was about as effective as you would imagine.
